Being in a fraternity was one of the best experiences of my life. Delta Lambda Phi was founded by queer men to open the fraternity experience to all men and nonbinary collegians who share our values of justice, service, excellence, integrity, diversity, friendship, and commitment.

Virginia Tech. Life never goes perfectly as planned but knowing I have my brothers gives me the extra confidence to take risks and experiences I never thought I would take. I love how different we gay are from each other. DLP has provided me a network of extraordinary brothers that are always there for you when you need advice, someone to listen, or some real talk.

This moment, shrouded in uncertainty, mirrored the complex feelings I’d been wrestling with since joining the fraternity three weeks earlier. As the fraternity’s first-ever openly gay member, each new challenge not only tested my resilience but also brought into sharp focus my ongoing struggle for acceptance and community.

In this role I develop plans and programs to provide improved mobility options for people of all ages and abilities. After transferring schools, I was given the opportunity to participate in greek life in a way that would be supportive and uplifting.

As the first fraternity founded by openly-queer men for men and nonbinary collegians of all sexualities and identities, Delta Lambda Phi has a legacy of working toward justice and building inclusive community. I was openly gay in the frat and wanted to share what it was like for me give other guys out there some advice.
